Saitama Kensho The Second
We at Manifacto Amsterdam feel very happy to have Saitama Kensho The Second as one of our artists!
Kensho The Second specializes in the Japanese traditional method of tattooing – TEBORI.
His master is Honke Horiyoshi (the son of Horiyoshi The First and brother of Horiyoshi The Second).
Hand-poke tattooing requires a great deal of experience and practice, and Kensho The Second began his apprenticeship in 2000 following the strict system for Japanese apprenticeship. He observed the technique and experimented on his own skin. Learned all the basics from what kind of ink block is better and to making needles.
